In a recent turn of events, Epic Games has set a multi-year deal with BLAST, which reigns the throne of organising eSports events. Here’s everything you need to know about the history-making deal.
BLAST set to host 2024 FNCS, RLCS esports tournaments
The renowned BLAST has announced a multi-year deal with Epic Games starting in 2024. They have gained the rights to organise the Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS), in which they already have immense experience in.
Their last FNCS Global Championship in Copenhagen attracted over 720k viewers and made its name as the largest event in the discipline in 2023.
BLAST will be organising the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) as well in the new deal. Rocket League was previously organised by Psyonix, the game’s developer. But with the game’s increasing popularity, this deal seems to show the potential of a great organised event by the BLAST.
What are BLAST’s contract details with Epic Games?
The new BLAST-Epic Games deal to organize the latter’s flagship games, Fortnite and Rocket League, will be multi-year-long. Although the exact duration hasn’t been revealed by the company yet.

Moreover, BLAST will be responsible for the operations of competitions, event production, and marketing of the RLCS and FNCS. BLAST will take over all the operations of FNCS, which it has never done before thus giving the company a chance to showcase it’s creativity and worth.
An official is expected next week, but is a great opportunity for both FNCS and RLCS’s future.
