Booker T throws shades on AEW women’s division while hyping up Jade Cargill’s potential jump

Jade Cargill was the longest-reigning TBS Champion and had an iconic reign before losing it to Kris Statlander recently. Her reign set a record as the longest for any AEW Championship, spanning 508 days.

There have been recent speculations about her future, and it seems like she’s on her way to WWE after losing her TBS Championship to a returning Kris Statlander. Booker T recently hyped up Jade Cargill’s potential signing with WWE.

Booker-T hypes Jade Cargill’s potential switch to WWE

Jade Cargill has the look of a perfect superstar, and it seems that in no time she’ll be one of the leading faces of WWE’s Women’s Division. Hall of Famer Booker T recently appeared on a podcast and commented on Jade’s potential to join WWE and mentioned how she’s tailor-made for the company.

Jade Cargill

“Jade Cargill has WWE written all over her. She’s a WWE superstar. I’m saying she is what WWE has always promoted that super-athlete, that super-soldier. Her star power is so huge right now. they [AEW] put the title [TBS Championship] on her but didn’t even have to make her the champion. She was still the focal point of that whole thing.” Booker said.

Even though the two companies are competing, there are many differences in the way they do business and wrestling. Jade Cargill thrived in AEW, making the TBS Championship relevant. Booker T would also go on to add, “I think in WWE, she’s going to progress a whole lot quicker. In WWE, her star power is gonna grow like crazy. She’s gonna be a megastar in WWE.”

Cargill reportedly wrestled her last AEW match on Rampage

Jade Cargill had tryouts at the WWE Performance Centre in 2019 and also received advice from Mark Henry. She joined AEW in 2021, where she was coached by Bryan Danielson at the request of AEW President Tony Khan. She won the inaugural TBS Championship after defeating Ruby Soho in the finals of a tournament held to crown the first TBS Champion.

A returning Kris Statlander defeated her in less than a minute, which all but confirmed her exit as it seems like Jade Cargill is moving up to the big leagues. Both competitors hugged each other after the match ended in a moment of respect, and Kris Statlander is the ideal successor to Cargill’s record-breaking reign.

The Internet Wrestling Community seems thrilled about Jade Cargill joining WWE and take the Women’s Division to the next level. Will Jade Cargill debut at Royal Rumble 2024 in Tampa Bay, Florida? Feel free to discuss in the comments.
