Logan Paul received a lot of appreciation from fans and wrestlers after his match at Crown Jewel against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Buzzing around the corner, the YouTube sensation has expressed his interest in fighting the legendary WWE superstar John Cena at WrestleMania 39 next year.
Paul’s valiant attempt fell short of ending The Tribal Chief’s record-breaking reign; however, was able to demonstrate to the WWE Universe that he is a formidable opponent. Despite sustaining an injury during the match, The Ultimate Influencer is already looking for another high-profile bout.
Alongside this, the WWE superstar John Cena recently shared a captionless image of Paul on Instagram, prompting many fans to jump into fantasy booking mode and assume that a battle between the two superstars could be on the cards. The side-eyes emoji was added to the comments on Cena’s post, which fueled speculation.
Paul said on the newest episode of the IMPAULSIVE podcast that he has already texted Triple H about a match against the 16-time world champion.
During the chat, Paul stated that a match between him and Cena would be a dream match for The Grandest Stage of Them All.
“After Crown Jewel, John Cena posted me on his Instagram and then I saw an article saying he’s looking for an opponent at WrestleMania. I favorited it, and responded with the eyes. Truthfully, I think me vs. John Cena would break the internet. I texted Triple H right away, ‘do you want to break the internet again?’ That’s a dream match. WrestleMania, in LA, on my birthday. Triple H, throw me a bone, give me a birthday present, and let me take out John Cena. That’d be crazy,” said Logan Paul.
The Cenation Leader hadn’t wrestled on WWE TV since SummerSlam 2021 when he fought Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship but was defeated. On the other hand, Paul suffered a leg injury during his match against Reigns, and it’s uncertain how long he’ll be recovered and fight the anticipated bout against Cena.
