The Denver Broncos cornerback Faion Hicks found himself in a tight spot after rubbing with a law enforcement agency in Florida on Saturday.
Faion joined the Broncos last year after being picked in the seventh round of the draft and sent to the practice squad. He signed a reserve contract in January this year, and in the meantime, he has appeared in two games for the special team this season.
Recently, he was caught by traffic police and sent to court with some charges that raised concerns.
What were the charges against Faion Hicks?
The 25-year-old was arrested by the police after disobeying a signal in Hallandale Beach, Florida. Later, the police were able to get a hold of him and found him with an expired driving license and a concealed gun.
According to the court report, the Broncos CB faced three charges: disobeying a traffic sign, driving with an expired license from four months ago, and carrying a weapon without a permit. The last one is the most serious offense—a third-degree felony.

Hicks played for the Wisconsin Badgers football team for four years at the college level before becoming a professional. He joined the Badgers as a three-star recruit from Charles W. Flanagan High School.
After joining the Broncos, he scored 30 snap counts for his special team appearance after struggling to make the roster as a rookie. However, in his college days, the CB made 16 interceptions and 100 tackles in 39 games for the Badgers.
The court agreed to release the athlete on bond, and the Broncos didn’t release a statement but will investigate the incident no matter what. After having the worst rookie year, these charges will make Faion Hicks’ life much more challenging.
