Broncos WR Josh Reynolds Shot Twice At Strip Club In Denver

Just hours after the Broncos’ victory over the New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds unexpectedly sustained two gunshot wounds early Friday morning. Reynolds, who missed the game due to a finger injury, was reportedly at a strip club called Shotgun Willie’s in Glendale, Colorado, when the incident took place.

Multiple vehicles followed Reynolds and another individual after they left the club, according to police reports. Reynolds was shot once in the left arm and once in the back of the head. A Denver area hospital treated him and later released him. The other individual involved in the incident was also shot in the back.

According to the latest reports, Denver police have arrested two suspects, Burr Charlesworth, 42, and Luis Mendoza, 35, in connection with the shooting. Police are holding both men for attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault.

Court documents say Mendoza was seen on club video after midnight, watching the victims instead of the performers. He followed them when they left. Another suspect, Charlesworth, claimed he didn’t shoot and said the shots came from other cars but wouldn’t say which ones. He told police he was “helping” a friend who wanted him to follow the victims after a fight.

Denver Broncos player Josh Reynolds has been sidelined due to an injury and missed last Thursday’s game against New Orleans. After the recent incident, it’s likely he’ll miss more matches, but the good news is that Reynolds is now in stable condition.

Latest report on Josh Reynolds’ health

The Broncos released a statement confirming Reynolds was treated for minor injuries and are respecting the ongoing investigation. It reads, “Josh Reynolds was a victim of a shooting on Friday in Denver and received treatment for minor injuries. Out of respect for the legal process, we will defer further comment on this matter to the authorities.’

Reynolds has been at the Broncos’ facility since the incident, watching practices on the field and receiving team support throughout the week. He will continue to be monitored closely as he recovers from his injuries and the trauma of the incident. The Broncos are hopeful that Reynolds will be able to return to the field once he has fully recovered.
