Bronny James Caught Under Bad Rudder Again After Scoring Zero in Lakers vs 76ers Game

Bronny James played his last NBA Pro League game on October 30, 2024, against the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he scored his first NBA basket. After that, he played in the G League to get better and gain more experience.

Then, unexpectedly, without any official announcement, Coach JJ Redick put him on the court against the Lakers in the recent 76ers game. Unfortunately, Bronny didn’t score any points, and the Purple and Gold lost the game 118-104.

Despite being given his first meaningful rotation minutes since the start of the season, Bronny struggled to make an impact, finishing the game with zero points on 0-for-5 shooting in 15 minutes of play.

Coach JJ Reddick surprised everyone by putting Bronny in during the first quarter. He entered at the 4:33 mark when the Lakers were leading 17-9. But things didn’t go well. In just four minutes, Bronny made a turnover, committed a foul, and missed a long shot. By the end of the first quarter, the 76ers had tied the game 25-25.

Even though Bronny recently scored a career-high 31 points in the G League, he couldn’t find his rhythm in this game. Afterward, he admitted he knew he would play but didn’t expect when it would happen.

Bronny James stays confident despite a zero-point game

Bronny James has been playing well in the G-League, so Lakers coach JJ Redick thought he could make a good impact. He put Bronny in the game when the Lakers were under no pressure. But the plan didn’t work, even though Bronny had been in good form. Later, Redick admitted that the 20-year-old rookie is not ready yet.

However, Bronny sees it differently. In the post game interview, he said, “I feel like I’m much more prepared now. Just coming out and staying ready after the G-League stint and the season being down the road a little bit more. Staying ready, coming in, and playing smart. Just trying to be aggressive every game and playing the right way.”
