Injuries are a big part of football. Every player on the field is always at risk of an injury that puts him on the sidelines for a few days. Arsenal’s winger Bukayo Saka has now been added to the club’s injured players list after the English international received a blow in his clash against Sevilla.
The player may not be available for some time, and his absence could affect Arsenal in the Premier League. Chub boss Mikel Arteta has been doing well this season, and he would need Bukayo Saka if he wants to keep his form up.
Bukayo Saka injury update
Bukayo Saka was the best player on the field in Arsenal’s clash against Sevilla. The English international was giving his all, and he even played a major role in his club’s victory. The club manager and fans were very happy with his performance, but unfortunately, the 22-year-old was not able to stay on the field for a full 90 minutes. Bukayo Saka went down in the 82nd minute of the game after awkwardly twisting his ankle. Arsenal’s medical team quickly arrived to provide assistance. He was soon substituted for Jakub Kiwior.
Fans were worried about their key winger, and they soon took to social media to express their concerns. One fan said “I hope that is not a serious injury for Saka and we are good,” while another wrote “Waiting for Saka injury news and hope it’s not something serious as he was great today”. The winger’s injury may cause him to miss a few matches, and there is a chance that he will not make an appearance in Arsenal’s next Premier League match against Burnley.
Arsenal beat Sevilla in UCL
After having a controversial match with Newcastle United on Saturday, Arsenal faced Sevilla in a Champions League Group Stage Matchday 4 game on November 9. The English side was dominant throughout the game. They enjoyed 62% of the possession, even took way more shots on goal, and created more chances compared to their opponents. The Gunners managed to score two goals, and Bukayo Saka played an important role in both of them.
He provided an assist for Belgian striker Leandor Trossard in the 29th minute to give his team a one-goal lead. Saka himself made it to the scoresheet, scoring a beautiful goal in the 64th minute, providing his team with a two-goal cushion. Though the Englishman was unable to stay on the field for a full match, his performance was enough to give his team an easy win over their opponents. Arsenal now sits at the top of their respective group with nine points in their bag.
Hopefully Bukayo Saka will soon return to the pitch, and we will see Arsenal achieve great things in the Premier League as well as the UEFA Champions League.
