The latest update for Modern Warfare Season 2 is just a couple of days away. Surprisingly, despite the Season 2 Battle Pass being a zombie-themed one, there was absolutely no new content for the actual Zombies mode, which came as a huge disappointment for the Zombies players. That is soon going to change, as Season 2 reloaded is rumored to bring new multiplayer maps and new content for the Zombies mode.
If you enjoyed the Dark Aether storyline so far, get prepared for some familiar faces to make a comeback. It will have new unlockables and enough content to keep you busy all season.
Is Zombies finally getting new content in Season 2 reloaded?
Season 2 Reloaded will expand the Dark Aether story arc that started with Vanguard. It is reported that members of Operation Deadbolt come into contact with Terminus Outcomes. As you get pulled into the Rift, Sergei Ravenov will guide you through. You should know him from Black Ops Cold War, where he played a similar role in the Zombies mode.
The challenges will be tougher this time around as you fight interdimensional entities. You will get more challenges with the Prestige levels, with Warlord Keres rumored to appear at Orlov Military Base. The new boss is an expert in chemical warfare, so expect plenty of gas and potions inside the base.
There are a few new schematics to be unlocked. It includes the V-R11, Mags of Holding, and Blood Burner Key. These items will help you defeat Keres as you take on her.
A second Aether Rift will appear, presenting you with a stronger infestation and puzzles. Solving them within a fixed time will net you rewards. But expect this to test your skills, as the developers are looking to push out the hardest horde yet in Call of Duty: Zombies mode.
What’s coming in Multiplayer and Warzone?
For multiplayer, Modern Warfare 3 is receiving three 6V6 maps. These are Das Haus, Terminal Variant, and Skidrow Variant. The first one has already been featured on COD Vanguard. This is remade for MW3 and will have fast-paced combat.
There are three new modes for players.
- Juggermosh will feature players in a Juggernaut suit. You can finally play MW3 from a third-person perspective.
- Bounty is similar to a team death match. One player will have a target on their back, depending on kills.
- Vortex maps will return for a limited time, featuring Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint.
Two new weapons, SOA Subverter and Soulrenderer, will arrive this season. These are likely connected to the Vortex and Dune events scheduled to take place. Expect challenges with rewards for players in this time-limited event.
For Warzone, there is a new point of interest. A new vessel will appear in Fortune’s Keep that has a helo for quick maneuvering. A new killstreak named Bunker Buster will also be present, giving you the option to launch missiles. You should also find a portable decontamination station, which will help you create a breathable bubble against the circle gas.
Season 2 Reloaded drops at 6 p.m. (PST) on March 6 for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. So, are you excited for the next Rift in MW3 Zombies? Let us know in the comments below.
