Activision has finally announced the arrival of Warzone Mobile worldwide. It made a couple of reveals on Twitter, giving players insights into the popular shooter.
It brings the full Warzone experience to mobile platforms, which was only restricted to China for the last year. Popular maps such as Verdansk, Shipment and Shoot House are present, along with the ability to save cross-progression between platforms. Among all the hype, players are not happy with one thing, and that is the lobby capacity available for the mobile version.
Warzone Mobile lobbies increased to 120 from 100
According to Activision, Warzone Mobile will have a 120-player lobby. This is higher than the 100-player limit imposed on the desktop version.
Many fans were quick to point out that the mobile version is getting all the attention ahead of its release. Players have requested the lobby capacity to increase since the developers reduced it from 150 to 100 on maps Al Mazrah and Verdansk.
IceManIsaac, a popular Warzone streamer and analyst, does not find the move sensible.
Some believe the mobile version will do better than the console version.
Playlists available at the launch revealed
Warzone Mobile brings six different game modes.
The regular Battle Royale will consist of 120 players fighting to come out on top, taking place on the vastly popular Verdansk map from the first Warzone game. The same location will also host a new mode, Mobile Royale. Here, you get better loot and more missions to make the most of your playthrough.
Rebirth Island will also be making an appearance. In addition, Mosh Pit and Shoot the Ship are here too. These two modes will have the classic 6V6 battle from the desktop Call of Duty games featuring Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed.
Activision also brings cross-progression to Warzone Mobile. That means all your achievements from MW3 and Warzone are carried forward to the mobile game. This also applies to cosmetic items purchased with the Battle Pass. However, items released exclusively for mobile will not be available for MW3 and Warzone 2.0.
To mark the mobile release, Activision is giving away five additional items for Warzone with its Battle Pass. Warzone Mobile releases worldwide on March 21.
