Boston Celtics’ star trio Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart and Jaylen have eternalized their footprints in NBA history. With a breakthrough of 20 PTS, 5 REB, and 5 AST in a Game 7. The only other trio to have done that was Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, and Dick Garrett in 1970 for the Lakers.
The Celtics have finally made it to the NBA finals after being ousted three times in the last five seasons. Now the odds are in their favor. At last, a shot at the title is in store for the beast from east. The road to NBA finals is open for the Celtics for the first time in the last decade after defeating Miami Heat 100-96 in game 7.
The Celtics were unstoppable , didn’t give Heat any chance to catch a breather. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown blew everyone’s mind with Game 7s record of 4-1 and 5-1. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown’s combined score of 50 helped Celtics shine through the night. Additionally, Smart’s 24 points easily vanquished Heat, the trio stronger than ever was the reason Celtics closed out Heat.
The aggressiveness the trio brought to the court was surely impressiveness but what really caught the eye was their impeccable defense. Smart and Brown’s defense limited the Heat’s play and gave a strong fight against Butler. Jayson Tatum’s playmaking and more refined skills was also commendable throughout the season.
It was Jimmy vs everybody. Jimmy Butler almost spearheaded Miami Heat to the NBA finals , instead that last minute missed shot sent the Heat home. Butler was ruthless in Game 7, as much as game 6, if not more. Butler gave it his all, played for full 48 minutes. Even with a nagging knee injury, he was as spirited throughout the game.
