Bucks center Giannis Antetokounmpo put on an amazing performance in tonight’s game against the Boston Celtics, scoring 43 points. Even though the Bucks lost, his effort deserved praise.
However, his unsportsmanlike behavior with Jaylen Brown during the second quarter of the game led to criticism, putting him in hot water.
After the Celtics won, Brown, who returned to the game after missing four games with a hip injury, didn’t hold back when calling out Giannis. In an interview with NBC Sports Boston, he said, “Giannis is a child. I’m just focused on helping my team get a win. And that’s what we did tonight.”

During the second quarter, Giannis Antetokounmpo appeared to try to make amends by reaching out his hand for an apology after elbowing Jaylen Brown in the face. He also received an offensive foul call for that hit.
But just as the MVP was about to give him a high five, Giannis pulled his hand back and touched his own head instead. It looked like a prank, something you might see in high school. However, Giannis’s response was fun to watch.
Giannis reacts after Jaylen Brown calls him a child
Giannis Antetokounmpo responded to Jaylen Brown calling him a “child” after their recent game. Many thought Giannis might react strongly, but he seemed surprised by the criticism. When asked about the incident, he calmly explained his intentions.
He said, “Obviously, it’s a joke. This is who I am. I play the game with fun and joy. I surround myself with young people so I can stay young myself. Be around my kids a lot, my nieces. But at the end of the day, I think he‘s an incredible player.”
