On the “Nightcap” podcast with Shannon Sharpe, Johnson defended Wilson, saying he actually played better than Rodgers last season. He said, “Zach Wilson was a better quarterback just FYI (than) Aaron Rodgers. I’m not talking about the old Aaron Rodgers. I’m talking about the new Aaron Rodgers.“
Right now, the New Orleans Saints are thinking about trading quarterback Derek Carr. If that happens, Rodgers seems to be their top choice to replace him.
