It’s been over a year, or exactly 14 months since three Kansas City Chiefs men were found dead outside a home after watching a football game. Now, police have arrested two suspects in connection to their deaths.
The tragic deaths happened on January 9 of last year. On that day, the bodies of 38-year-old Ricky Johnson, 37-year-old Clayton McGeeney, and 36-year-old David Harrington were found outside Jordan Willis’ home. Their purpose in being there was to see the Kansas City Chiefs matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.

After nearly 14 months of investigation, the Kansas City Missouri Police Department announced that two suspects are facing felony charges, including involuntary manslaughter, in connection with the deaths of the three Chiefs fans.
Fox News reports that officials in Platte County have charged Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson with selling drugs and killing someone without their permission. Additionally, the Associated Press reports that both Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson are under a $100,000 cash bail.
Investigation findings on the tragic deaths of Kansas City Chiefs fans
According to court records, the three men died from the toxic effects of fentanyl and cocaine. Their bodies were found two days after a watch party when McGeeney’s fiancée, worried about him, went to the house and discovered a body in the backyard. Police later discovered the other two Kansas City Chiefs supporters in the same area.
The case has attracted national attention due to the mysterious circumstances surrounding the deaths. Willis’ lawyer, John Picerno, has maintained his client’s innocence, stating that Willis is not responsible for purchasing or supplying the drugs.
Both men are currently in custody. As the legal proceedings continue, the Kansas City (State of Missouri) community remains in mourning for the three fans who lost their lives in such a tragic manner.
