Some serious verbal arguments have recently surfaced between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira before the most anticipated UFC lightweight title fight this Saturday. Following this event, Makhachev even later questioned if the Brazilian would show up in Abu Dhabi for UFC 280.
Charles Oliveira da Silva, mostly known as Charles Oliveira, is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist who began his MMA career in 2007. As of August 22, 2022, he is ranked No. 1 in the UFC lightweight rankings and No. 3 in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings. Before the title fight, Oliveira’s training for the championship bout was supervised by none other than the legendary Dhiego Lima.
Khabib, who is the coach of Islam Makhachev, prior to the fight expressed, “Islam Makhachev will ride Charles Oliveira like his horse and win the UFC lightweight title on Saturday.” In response to that, Oliveira’s coach, Dhiego, replied, “Oliveira doesn’t give a sh*t about that.” Also, Dhiego thinks Oliveira is clearly the favorite to clinch the title.
The mental strain on the fighters might be accelerated by having a heated disagreement right before the battle. But Oliveira’s coach disagrees strongly with that assessment. He knows his fighters and believes Charles isn’t someone who will get physically unwell or anxious over a mere argument. After everything Charles has been through, this promotion by Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev must feel like a dream.

Later, the Brazilian coach criticized Khabib and said, “I see all this crap, but it’s part of their show. They want to sell the fight this way. Khabib was always a quiet guy that would do instead of talking, and he changed his behavior to promote his cousin. It’s part of the show they’re doing, and it only adds responsibility to them. We’re more relaxed and adapted than ever. ”
It’s looking like an easy fight for the top UFC lightweight fighter, Oliveira, but Makhachev’s coach, one of the great fighters, Khabib Nurmagomedov, is worrying him. Khabib’s skills in the UFC are hands down one of the best, if not the best. And if the former champion believes in Makhachev being his protégé, then you can definitely count on that.
Whatever the outcome, we can guarantee that our fans will witness one of the greatest title fights in many years this Saturday. The fans will surely be nothing but excited about the fight.
