Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his family are going through a tough time after losing a loved one. Losing the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles was already a heartbreaking moment for the Chiefs star.
On top of that, constant comparisons to Tom Brady made his Super Bowl week even more frustrating. But recently things got even more tragic when Patrick received heartbreaking news—his grandfather, Randy Mahomes, had passed away.
Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Mahomes, shared sad news on Instagram on Friday that her father had passed away. She posted pictures of her father with family and wrote a heartfelt message:
“Hard to find the words of holding my fathers hand as he goes to Heaven. I know he’s in a better place. I love you daddy. Well done, good and faithful servant!”
Randi had been keeping everyone updated about her father’s condition on social media and asked for prayers and support. As Pat faces this tough time, the football community supports him and honors his grandfather.
