Chiefs Stay Unbeaten As Patrick Mahomes Throws 300+ Yards vs Saints

In Week 5 of the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs extended their unbeaten 5-0 run with a solid 26-13 win over the New Orleans Saints. With over 331 yards thrown, Patrick Mahomes led the way and showed again why he’s the heart of the two-time reigning champions.

The Chiefs were winning 16-7 at halftime and kept control of the game with strong defense, even though they were missing important players like Isiah Pacheco and Rashee Rice. Patrick Mahomes connected to Travis Kelce nine times for 70 yards, and Kareem Hunt ran for 117 yards and a touchdown.

With 331 yards throwing, Mahomes completed 28-of-39 passing. Only one of his throws resulted in a touchdown. On the other hand, Saints’ quarterback Derek Carr threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns before getting hurt, but the Chiefs’ defense won at the end.

They blocked running back Alvin Kamara for just 26 yards on 11 runs. Even though they had some trouble scoring in the red zone, a late 3-yard touchdown by Xavier Worthy made sure they won 26-13.
