The fight between KSI and Tommy Fury was intriguing, with Fury losing a point for hitting behind the head early in the match. For most of the fight, the two fighters were clinching with each other.
Regardless, due to the mass attention surrounding the fight, there is now a debate raging over the outcome of the fight. With a large proportion of the boxing world believing KSI was unfortunate not to have been awarded the narrow victory.
Chris Eubank Jr. as an analyst, shared his thoughts on the fight. Chris believes that KSI won the fight, as the YouTuber turned boxer landed more shots, set the pace, and displayed better boxing skills. Chris Eubank Jr. also commented on Tommy Fury’s upbringing, highlighting his lifelong involvement in boxing. The British professional boxer praised KSI’s performance and suggested that KSI should take pride in his performance instead of feeling embarrassed.
Many believe KSI was unlucky not to win the close victory
Chris Eubank Jr isn’t the only one who shares the opinion that KSI won, the majority of the boxing world believes that. KSI himself believes that he won and even quoted the decision as a “robbery.”
Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, who attended the event as a fan, shares the same opinion as Chris Eubank Jr. as well as KSI. Speaking after the fight, Hearn was asked whether the right man won the main-event contest to which he replied: “No, he Fury had a point deducted.”
“KSI won the fight,” Eddie Hearn added. Disappointed with the fight’s outcome, KSI immediately demanded a rematch, but Tommy Fury didn’t share the same enthusiasm. In a post-fight interview with Ariel Helwani, Tommy Fury stated that he’s finished with crossover boxing. However, he left the door open for potential bouts with the Paul brothers. The YouTuber-turned-boxer expressed his desire for a rematch in the near future, although the chances of it happening appear to be quite slim.
