President of the UFC, Dana White, disclosed an unexpected secret surrounding the birth of his son, Aidan, on The Pound 4 Pound podcast with Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo.
Dana White, known for his no-nonsense approach to business, stunned the MMA community by admitting that former UFC champion Chuck Liddell played a pivotal role in the decision to reschedule his son’s birth.
Dana White Reveals Crazy Reason for Moving Son’s Birth Date
In an interview on the Pound 4 Pound podcast, Dana White shared the unusual circumstances that led to the rescheduling of his son Aidan’s birth. The UFC president disclosed that Aidan’s original due date coincided with a very significant matchup in the UFC – which was Chuck Liddell vs. Vitor Belfort (as speculated by fans, as Dana White only mentioned the name of Chuck Liddell).
Dana White confessed that he simply couldn’t bear the thought of missing Liddell’s fight. “Chuck Liddell is a living legend,” White stated emphatically.
“I couldn’t fathom the idea of being in the delivery room while one of the greatest fighters of all time stepped into the octagon. Thankfully, my wife is incredibly understanding,” White remarked.
“She knows how much Chuck means to me and the sport,” added Dana, acknowledging the unconventional nature of his decision and appreciating his wife, Anne White for the same.
What Does Dana White’s Son, Aidan, Do?
While Aidan White might be the son of one of the most influential figures in MMA, he is carving out his own path in the world of combat sports. Despite being born into a family synonymous with UFC, Aidan has chosen a different discipline – boxing.
Aidan White, one of three siblings, was the only one of the three, according to White, who was ‘avidly pursuing’ the sport. Dana White has also cornered Aidan during his boxing matches in 2018. Aidan had previously been in the news when Dana was reported to have spent over a million US dollars in less than a span of 6 hours during Aidan’s 16th birthday party.
Guests like ASAP Rocky and Migos (to name a few) were also a part of the event. Aidan White also received his own championship belt for his birthday.
