Clippers coach Tyronn Lue spoke a high of Bronny James who has already made his name on and out of the court. Recently, the 18-year-old became the highest NIL earner without stepping into college football.

LeBron James’ older son has already shown his expertise as perfect LeBron material on the court. With a “smooth shooting stroke,” Bronny can play both the point guard and shooting guard positions. For one of the best high school teams in the nation, Sierra Canyon, James is averaging 14 points, a team-high 5.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.

Tyronn Lue, the coach of the Clippers, concurred with Bronny’s father on the recent episode of The Pivot Podcast, who recently asserted that his son seemed to be superior to some NBA players. “Bronny is a hell of a talent as well. If you look at young teams, if you look at certain teams, I wouldn’t say he is far off. He could be on that level with some guys in the league, younger guys that are still trying to find their way,”  Tyronn said.

The 6.3″ are physically fit and have good length, making them the kind of all-around players who can make a team succeed. BJ definitely elevates his position through his excellent talent, even though there is never a direct one-to-one comparison but rather comparisons to many young players according to the Clippers coach.

“I wouldn’t say every player, all these players, but he is a hell of a talent, and I can see some comparisons to some of the young guys that are coming into the league 19, 20, 21 years old trying to find their way. So I wouldn’t say it was that far off,” Lue added.

An ESPN projection indicates that the younger James will likely enter the NBA in the 2024 Draft, as he’s currently projected to be a top-10 pick.
