CM Punk and Seth Rollins are the most exciting part of WWE Raw on Netflix, even more than the big match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. The Netflix debut of WWE Raw will feature these two WWE Superstars as one of the main attractions, and Punk believes their rivalry will stand out as one of the most intense and exciting in wrestling history.
On January 6th, CM Punk and Rollins will finally face off, more than a year after Rollins reacted angrily to Punk returning to WWE. Both men have shared their problems with each other on TV and in interviews, making it unclear how much of their feud is real and how much is part of the story.
Punk, known for his tough attitude, talked openly about his issues with Rollins. On the ‘Nightcap’ podcast, Punk compared their feud to the famous rivalry between Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage.
The Best in the World said, “This is one of those Hogan-Savage deals that’s gonna just go on for as long as the beef has already been festering. 10-plus years… this one’s gonna fester for a while.”
As WWE Raw comes to Netflix, fans are excited to see CM Punk vs. Rollins. This match is expected to be one of the biggest moments on the streaming platform’s wrestling shows.
Seth Rollins gets real about CM Punk
Two weeks ago on Raw, Seth Rollins spoke to Jackie Redmond about his match with CM Punk. After the interview aired, Rollins tweeted asking WWE to release the rest of the 30 minutes. Then, the Stamford-based company released the full 25-minute interview on Sunday.
Rollins explained that his problems with Punk come from feeling betrayed. He talked about their 20-year history, saying he once looked up to Punk as a hero. Rollins admired Punk’s style and honesty and even trained with him.
Even though they have issues, Rollins still hopes to make peace with Punk. “I just don’t buy it,” said Rollins. “And I think even if it’s true, even if everything that he’s doing is not a show and he is a changed man and he’s a better person than he was when he left.”
