The 38-year-old superstar now has a new contract situation with WWE. While the specific details about the new contract are not clear, it seems this contract might determine Cody’s future in the company.
Cody Rhodes contract situation
According to reports from Fightful Select, it was revealed that some sources from WWE confirmed that the company would like to offer Cody Rhodes a multi-year contract extension. While the specific details of the new contract, such as its length and financial terms, remain unknown, it is believed that WWE has a long-term plan for Rhodes. The company is even prepared to pay a hefty paycheck to get the 38-year-old superstar to sign a new deal.
The extension of the contract is a priority for TKO, the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that Cody signed a new contract with WWE in October and it was near the same time to the Charlotte Flair contract deal where she signed a new deal few months prior.
However, per Fightful Select, there is some confusion, as although the contract was offered, it is still yet to be finalized. According to Fightful, people close to Cody claim that the new contract was made in October but was never signed. This has left fans confused, as Cody got a new bus around late November on Thanksgiving, and if he has not yet made it official with WWE, then the new bus does not make any sense.
