Even after Fastlane, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso were the most impressive performers in the WWE ring. In an attempt to win the Undisputed Tag Team championships, Cody and Jey Uso paired up to take on Judgment Day. They were, however, ultimately defeated.
This week’s RAW in Dallas, Texas closed with a surprising twist: Jey and Cody delivered an exciting beatdown and a bizarre present to the audience. Cody Rhodes is widely liked by his audience because of his warm interaction. He recently revealed in a post that a member of his family was worried about their late-night communication.
Rhodes reveals his cousin’s ringside role
On October 24, a fan uploaded a 45-second clip from the conclusion of RAW on Twitter to YEAH WRESTLING. After Jey Uso’s bout against Damian Priest, he and Cody Rhodes provided some post-match entertainment.
Following Finn Balor’s interference, Jey Uso lost to Damian Priest with a South of Heaven choke slam in the main event. As Jey Uso faced Judgment Day, Cody Rhodes showed up to assist him, despite having a sprained ankle.
On October 23 at the American Airlines Arena, they were seen on camera signing tables and chairs for spectators. The supporter switched out the table for a chair. American Nightmare enjoyed that fan moment as he did always, but his cousin might not have liked that. While discussing his off-air shenanigans, Cody Rhodes responded to the video tweet that his younger cousin, who works in the timekeeper’s department, gets worried whenever he gets engaged in anything like this.
He said, “My youngest cousin works ringside/bell area…so when I get up to my post-show shenanigans, you should see his face…he dreads this part of the night.”
Rhodes vs Damian Priest confirmed for Crown Jewel
Cody and his tag team partner Jey Uso were defeated by the Judgment Day duo of Damian Priest and Finn Balor and thus lost the WWE Tag Team Championships. The Money in the Bank suitcase is also in Damian Priest’s possession. Because Cody is still involved with Judgment Day, it’s not clear what will happen next for him.
Despite Cody and Jey’s demands, WWE has scheduled a bout between Cody and Damian Priest at Crown Jewel. Due to their busy schedules, Cody and Priest seldom face each other in singles competitions. So, it would be interesting to see who will win finally.
Cody was assaulted by the Judgment Day and left hobbling backstage after they agreed to a singles bout at the event. The public is now keen to know when Jey Uso will get his hands on Judgment Day and exact his retribution.
