The wrestling world is currently talking about one thing after Elimination Chamber, which is that John Cena turned heel, and he’ll be going to face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. Here everything feels extraordinary given how the story is going with the Rock in the middle of it.
But on the flip side, there is a doubt that Cody Rhodes could really match the hype of John Cena or not. The question arises because history says there is only one person who once shut down Cena, and he is none other than CM Punk.
The perfect opponent for a heel Cena was right there in the Chamber—CM Punk. Known as “The Best in the World,” Punk has a rich history with Cena, with memorable matches and promos from the early 2010s.
His return to WWE and recent attacks on Cena and The Rock have reignited the fire, making him a perfect fit for Cena’s farewell storyline. Plus, Punk’s dream to main event WrestleMania would add depth to the match.
No one wants that. It makes more sense for Punk to be inserted into this because it has FAR more backstory and history than he does with Seth and Roman. Let Seth and Roman do their own thing while Punk goes into the main event with Cena and Cody. pic.twitter.com/gyPgQ6X4yc

On the other hand, while Cody Rhodes is a great champion, his feud with Cena doesn’t feel as special without The Rock’s involvement. The Rock’s presence made Cena’s heel turn feel real, and it highlighted Rhodes’ brave choice to reject his offer at Elimination Chamber.
Without the history between Cena and Rhodes, it feels more about The Rock. The deep history between Punk and Cena, however, creates a much stronger, more compelling narrative.
John Cena shares viral Squid Game meme reflecting ‘heel’ turn
John Cena recently shared a viral Squid Game meme on social media, showing his new villainous character. The move is an industry-changing decision for WWE, and everyone is talking about it. Cena is known for posting cryptic messages without captions, and this time was no different.
The meme compares Cena to Seong Gi-hun, the main character from Squid Game. In the first season, Gi-hun was a happy, simple person who survived the game. But in the second season, after learning the harsh truth about the game, his personality changed.
Cena used a side-by-side photo of Gi-hun from both seasons to show how his character has changed in WWE, similar to Gi-hun’s transformation.
