Cody Rhodes is back after a great match at Survivor Series, known for his tenacity as a fighter, a well-built persona, and the ability to win over a crowd with charisma and versatility. Rhodes made a significant comeback after winning the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match, earning him a championship title shot.
Since then, The American Nightmare has been making waves in WWE. During a recent interview, the superstar shared his views on Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) as a wrestler and discussed MJF’s official joining of WWE.
Cody Rhodes reveals his enthusiasm in MJF
The master of Cross Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38 on 2022, defeating Seth Rollins. He later won Men’s Royal Rumble the following year, proving his dominance as a wrestler. As the son of the late WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes and the half brother of WWE superstar Goldust, Cody has always been a superstar.
Cody’s last match at Survivor Series War Games was the one of the best event of this year. The American Nightmare said in an interview with ESPN’s The Michael Kay Show that, The Salt of the Earth will make his next stop on WWE after his contract with AEW expires. MJF is the current and longest reigning AEW World Champion at over 390 days and counting.
Cody Rhodes in an interview with Peter Rosenburg said, “I think one day you will see MJF in WWE. I think, one thing I’m really proud of him for is, for those who don’t know, MJF was one of my recruits. Probably the one I’m the most excited about just because [of] his potential, his personality; his overall professionalism is beaming. One thing I’m proud of him doing is, if you notice he’s put on a lot of muscle and he’s put it on safely over the last year and a half.”
Rhodes predicts MJF’s future move
Rhodes is the person who discovered MJF and hired him in AEW. Cody served as the executive vice president and was the inaugural leader of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) from 2019 to 2022. He also held the AEW TNT Championship three times.
As the person who interacted with MJF in his early stages, it is not surprising that Rhodes knows “The Salt of the Earth” and anticipates his future course of actions. Cody Rhodes believes MJF deserves to be in WWE and will eventually make his way to the greatest wrestling platform one day.
In an interview with UPI, MJF stated that he is up for grabs, as long as he is paid a large amount of money. The superstar took barely any time to prove himself as one of the top stars in AEW.
MJF said, “I didn’t get into this sport to make friends. I got in it to make money, and MJF goes where the money is at. Now, if you’re willing to fork it over, I’m willing to play ball, and I’m willing to be the most important person you have in your entire roster.”
Cody Rhodes predication excites fans, as having MJF in WWE will make it more entertaining for the WWE universe.
