Colorado’s Travis Hunter Confirms Intent to Join 2025 NFL Draft Class

Travis Hunter, one of college football’s brightest stars, showcases incredible skill as both a receiver and a cornerback. Recently, he confirmed his decision to enter the upcoming NFL Draft. However, before stepping onto the NFL stage, Hunter has set his sights on achieving more milestones, including making a mark in the Big 12.

Travis Hunter, currently a junior, still has one year of college eligibility left but is expected to enter the NFL draft. On a Zoom call with reporters, Hunter confirmed his intentions for the first time when asked by USA TODAY Sports.

During a conference call on Thursday, he confirmed with a laugh, “That’s definitely for sure,” about entering the NFL draft. He also shared his dream of playing both offense and defense, which is rare in today’s football.

He believes team goals are important and said players likely won’t skip the expanded College Football Playoff, as it could send the wrong message to NFL scouts. As a receiver, Hunter has accumulated 74 catches for 911 yards and nine touchdowns, while on defense, he has picked off three passes.

His outstanding performance has established him as a leading contender for the Heisman Trophy, and he is also considered a top prospect for the upcoming NFL Draft.

Travis Hunter pushed Shedeur Sanders for the Heisman Trophy ceremony

With just two games left in the regular season, Travis Hunter is almost certain to be a Heisman finalist. But he’s also pushing for his quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, to join him in New York.

Speaking to reporters, Hunter passionately stated that Sanders deserves recognition for his incredible performance. He even suggested that if Sanders isn’t invited, he’ll bring him as a guest.

His support shows how both players have helped lead Colorado to success, with their bond driving the team’s unity as they chase a Big 12 title.
