With just a few weeks left till the start of the regular season, the Indianapolis Colts have received some serious injury news. The wide receiver of the team Ashton Dulin is suffering a torn ACL. Because of this Dulin will not be able to play the entire season.
Dulin is the team’s second player to be sent to an injury reserve this offseason. The rookie safety Daniel Scott was also placed on the season-ending injured reserve list after the minicamp ended. The Colts have already incurred the loss of two pivotal players. More injuries at this time can badly affect the teams’ performance in the regular season.

Ashton Dulin suffered a knee injury this Wednesday. Later it was revealed that the wide receiver is done for the season as he has a torn ACL.

The ACL is a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the knee. This is a tissue that connects the thigh bone and the shinbone at the knee. ACL injuries are very serious as unstable knees can lead to further damage.
Therefore, Ashton Dulin has been added to the injured reserve list. He will not play in any game in 2023. Last season he gave an incredible performance, snagging 15 passes for 207 receiving yards. Therefore, he was a crucial player on the roster.
The question is that if the wide receiver is out now, who’ll fill his void? The team has signed free-agent wide receiver Tyler Adams. But with the regular season just a few weeks away, the team probably won’t take the risk of letting a rookie player play.
They will most likely replace Dulin with fellow wide receivers Amari Rodgers or Breshad Perriman who are more experienced.

The 26-year-old signed a two-year deal with the Colts in March. The deal is worth $7.2 Million and is set to end in 2024. Ashton is a core member of special team units. He made 33 receptions for 450 years and three touchdowns in four seasons with the team.
Although this season he wasn’t expected to play a massive role in the team, he was still one of the older wideouts in Colt’s receiver room. However, now that Ashton is gone his presence will certainly be missed.
