Jonathan Taylor, a running back for the Indianapolis Colts, has praised Anthony Richardson to a new level and made comparisons to some legendary players in the NFL. Richardson is not just a simple athlete in Taylor’s eyes.
The former Florida Gators quarterback, one of the most strongly touted prospects in recent memory and holds dimensional physical gifts and athletic prowess, is selected by the Colts with the No. 4 overall pick in Round 1 of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Taylor acknowledged the Florida player’s extraordinary athletic prowess and asserted that he has the capacity to advance to any level and establish himself as a powerful and commanding competitor.
“If you look at his skill set, the sky’s the limit for him. Now it’s all about coming in and absorbing the coaching aspect of it. He has to absorb the little nuggets of knowledge that our veterans are going to offer him.”

The tallest and heaviest quarterback, at 6.4″ and 244 pounds, will pose a serious threat to his opponent’s players due to his excellent vision, strong arm, and long speed with the ball in his hand. Anthony can do almost anything on the field, and Jonathan likened the quarterback to Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Eagles star player Jalen Hurts for his exceptional abilities.
“You look at the guys that are in the league now. He reminds me of Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson. Looking at the size component, you’d throw Cam Newton in there as well. He’s a physical threat.”
At the end of the 2022 season, the quarterback had 2,549 passing yards and 17 touchdowns while starting each of Florida’s 12 games. He received Davey O’Brien awards and was also named the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance, resulting in helped UF defeat No. 7 Utah States by a final score of 29-26.
