Francis Ngannou was very close to sealing a deal with Deontay Wilder to begin his professional boxing career. Now Wilder has a lucrative offer for Francis Ngannou that the PFL superstar would find quite intriguing.
According to his agreement with Professional Fighters League, the Cameroonian-French fighter will make his professional boxing debut this year. Initially, he had a short list of boxers he might face in the ring, including Tyson Fury, Andy Ruiz, and Anthony Joshua. Deontay Wilder, however, appears to be the most likely contender at the moment.
Cool Deontay Wilder is at least considering not merely fighting Francis Ngannou in boxing, but doing so once in MMA. Smart of PFL to put Wilder on the broadcast.

The Bronze Bomber recently stated in an interview that he would love to sign up for a two-fight agreement with the former UFC heavyweight champion. To square things out, they engage in one boxing match and one mixed martial arts match, according to Deontay.
“Me and Francis have had discussions. We had meetings with both parties, as far as the team is concerned. So this is a real conversation that has been taking place. Not only just amongst the combat family, but amongst the teams as well.” Wilder said.

The American boxer, who hasn’t scheduled a match since defeating Robert Helenius, then told The Predator about his plans, requesting, “How about you come to my backyard (boxing), and after a while I come to yours?”
Has Francis Ngannou replied to Deontay Wilder’s request?
Eric Nicksick, head coach of Ngannou, claims that although Francis initially intended to take on Tyson Fury, they have kept other possibilities open in case they are unable to quickly agree with The Gypsy King.
The former UFC heavyweight champion hasn’t made anything official about the offer, but he has acknowledged that his camp has been in communication with Wilder’s side and that they have verbally agreed to something.
