Conor McGregor puts himself beyond imitation while providing crucial advice to YouTuber

Conor McGregor has been a legendary name in the UFC ever since he first stepped foot into the Octagon. He is known to be an elite striker who has taken multiple weight divisions by storm. “Mystic Mac” is reputed as a fighter who does not shy away from any fight. He is also notorious for riling up his opponents by calling them out viciously on social media ahead of his fights with them.

It’s been two years since McGregor stepped foot into the octagon. His last fight with Dustin Poirier resulted in him fracturing his tibia and he had gone into rehab until recently when he made his public appearance again and had buffed up a lot to supposedly fight stronger opponents in other weight divisions. There have been talks about him fighting in the Octagon again very soon.

Conor McGregor puts himself beyond imitation

The name of Conor McGregor is sometimes considered to be more famous than UFC itself. It’s not odd that others would look up to him and utilize his identity to get views on their own social media. A YouTuber going by the handle “MattDoesFitness” recently published a video on YouTube in which he imitated Conor’s diet and daily routine to experience a day in his life.

“The Notorious” is already well-known for his savage social media callouts and remarks about the combat scene. Conor does not seem to have seen “MattDoesFitness”‘s video in a way that makes him feel good. He took his “X” account and replied to the video by saying: “Thanks for the effort. Stick to your day job. There’s only one Conor McGregor”.

McGregor’s food habit, workout

McGregor is acknowledged as a fighter who trains like a madman ahead of his fights. He gives his absolute 100 percent, no matter who the opponent is. While in his glory days in the UFC, “Mystic Mac” followed a rigid diet and workout plan, which we cover below.

McGregor intakes only certain kinds of carbs and proteins to optimize his growth. He has, however, admitted to having a sweet tooth. Hydration is a topic he’s emphasized previously, and he makes sure to get plenty of it himself. His typical breakfast consists of coffee, eggs, fruits, vegetables, and sometimes smoked salmon.

His lunch mostly has red meat, fish, salad, and/or chicken breasts. His dinner consists of chicken, fish, steak, green beans, sweet potatoes, and rice, and sometimes he spoils himself with some beer, whiskey, or tequila. It is a given that he does not ingest all these items per meal. Conor mixes up the elements here and there to create interesting combinations and break the monotony of the diet.

He also eats 3 snacks per day. One after breakfast, which is usually Greek yogurt, one pre-workout snack which consists of nuts and/or fruits and his last snack is post-workout which is usually a BSN shake, different carbs, and/or coconut water. Conor’s workout regime is no joke either.

It consists of dynamic stretching like muay thai knees, Shoulder Rotations, Leg Swings, Hip Circles, and Neck Bridge. He follows that up with static stretches like Back Roll, Sit-Through Abdominal Stretch, Sit-Back Shoulder Stretch, Lying Leg Stretch, and Seated Butterfly. After that “The Notorious” does locomotion conditioning (to maintain best performance) like Duck Walk, Horse Walk, Lizard Walk, and Ostrich Walk.

He finishes his workout with bodyweight workouts like Muscle Pull-Ups (for abs, middle back, shoulders, biceps, and triceps), Push-Ups (for shoulders and triceps), Pull-Ups (for back, traps, and biceps), and Air Squats (for hamstrings and glutes).
