Conor McGregor unveils fresh outlook on fighting after first acting experience

In the next Roadhouse remake, Conor McGregor has a significant role. The Notorious recently discussed his overall experience making a Hollywood movie, which the star describes as being significantly more difficult than his job in the octagon.

The remake of the 1989 cult classic movie Road House stars Hollywood hero Jake Gyllenhaa and UFC superstar Conor McGregor. Recently, the Irishman finished filming his part in the movie. Fans of the UFC and Hollywood movies are now excitedly anticipating the premiere of the highly anticipated film.

How was the experience of doing a movie for Conor McGregor? 

The Irishman recently spoke with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour and gave a thorough overview of his experience making a movie and how the experience affected his MMA career.

“It was tough, Ariel, it was very tough. Very long days. What it actually done for me, which I’m happy with, is it made me feel like everything else was easy. Right now, what I’m doing; I’m doing a lot of work, going around.” McGregor said.

The Notorious is currently busy wrapping up the filming for a reality show called The Ultimate Fighter. According to the lightweight superstar, even though TUF requires a lot of training and camping too but nothing is as difficult as the effort it requires to make a movie.

Will Conor McGregor’s MMA career be impacted in any way by the experience of filming a movie?

Although Conor’s part in the movie hasn’t been revealed but McGregor and Gyllenhaal have already been seen together in a few leaked photos from the production, indicating that they will feature together in one or two scenes. In addition to that, McGregor has already confirmed there will be plenty of actions played by him. 

“That took me back, to be honest with you. I was not anticipating the amount of work that it would take. It’s active. There’s full fight scenes, and I’m doing the stunts, I’m jumping through the air, I’m throwing guys over bars, and I’m smashing glass bottles.” Conor said in the MMA Hour. 

Conor will make his acting debut at Roadhouse. Although the Irish fighter has not said whether he intends to change careers and become a film star, he is undoubtedly excited to return to the cage as scheduled in the later half of this year.

“It was a crazy one, and then you’re doing this for 15, 16 hours a day. Then you go home and it’s like, okay you’re up in four hours… It was tough. Am I eager to get back and do it? Not necessarily. I’m eager to get back and fight.” Conor further added.
