A recently released video recording depicts the moment when Conor McGregor seized a fan’s phone and broke it outside the Fontainebleau hotel. Which houses the renowned LV nightclub, in Miami last month. TMZ Sports obtained the new footage on Wednesday, as the previous footage was captured by a bystander’s phone.

McGregor faced charges of robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief for the incident. In the video, Conor, aged 30, enters an open entryway in front of the hotel. While fans on either side of him film the UFC celebrity.
As McGregor turns to his left, past a second security guard, he extends his arm toward a man in a long-sleeved white shirt. Just as security personnel pushes away an individual on his right.
According to a video posted by TMZ Sports a few days after the incident. Ahmed Abdirzk claimed that he believed Conor was extending his hand for a handshake. In the footage, Ahmed reaches out his left hand while continuing to record McGregor.
However, McGregor responds by swatting the phone away with his left hand. Stomping on it, and picking it up as his security guard prevents Abdirzk from retrieving it. As McGregor walks away, Ahmed trails behind him, apparently requesting the return of his phone.

Abdirzk subsequently filed a lawsuit for battery, assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. However, earlier this week, it was reported that the two parties had settled out of court.

Last month, Ahmed requested $15,000 in compensation for damages. He expressed his greatest disappointment in losing pictures of his child that he had not yet backed up, as seen in a video posted by TMZ Sports.
Meanwhile, Conor McGregor still confronts charges of felony strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief. Although these charges have reportedly been amended from the original ones.
While he could potentially face up to six years in prison. It is possible that the charges could affect his immigration status as an Irish citizen more significantly.
Furthermore, McGregor is currently being investigated in Ireland for sexual assault. Just a week prior to the phone incident, he had just finished serving community service for an attack that occurred during a UFC media day back in April 2018. Somehow the Irish always manages to get himself into trouble despite all the pushback over the years.
