“Conor, shut your f*cking mouth”: Jose Aldo’s savage reply to Conor McGregor’s potential boxing showdown

‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor has had a glorious career in the UFC so far that includes various highlights that he could look back at and be proud of. One of those highlights has to be his incredible 13-second knockout victory against one of the greatest featherweights in MMA history Jose Aldo.

Aldo who had a legendary run in the UFC, hung off his gloves for good back in September last year after losing to current number one bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili. Although Aldo has officially called it quits inside the octagon, he is still not completely out of the fight game.

In a recent appearance, former Featherweight champion fought his fellow UFC alumnus, Jeremy Stephens, to a majority draw at Gamebred Boxing 4 at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin which took place this past Saturday.

After Aldo’s boxing match, McGregor who has been really friendly and respectful to Aldo in the recent past took to Twitter to propose a boxing fight with his former opponent. Aldo surprisingly was harsh in his response as he asked McGregor to ‘shut his fu****g mouth.’

“Conor (has a) big mouth,” Aldo told reporters in response to McGregor’s tweet. “He always talks a lot of sh*t. He has a scheduled fight. … Conor, shut your f*cking mouth. We were supposed to fight before in the UFC. You run, and now you still talk sh*t.”

What’s next for Jose Aldo?

According to Aldo himself, he and his team are in talks with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather for an exhibition boxing bout that will most probably take place in Saudi Arabia.

“Yeah, we’ve been negotiating that fight for a good while,” Aldo told reporters Thursday at the Gamebred Boxing 4 pre-fight news conference. “Floyd already knows about the fight. I first need to think about my fight this Saturday, and then I can see what’s going to happen. But yeah, we’ve been in negotiations for a long time, and that fight could go down in Saudi Arabia”.

“So yeah, it’s all true. We’re going to do the work on Saturday, and after that we’ll sit down again with everyone to book the fight.”
