Bleed Esports had earlier announced that Crazyguy and Egoist were no longer an active part of their roster for 2024. The news comes after the Singapore-based team crashed out of the VCT Pacific Kickoffs that took place a few days earlier.
Now the former IGL for Bleed Esports has made a startling confession about his exit. This puts the team in real jeopardy while they prepare for the upcoming Valorant trials.
Crazyguy talks on Bleed eSports exit
According to Crazyguy, his relocation to the bench as an inactive member was more due to the involvement of others in the team. He referred to them as ‘superstars’ and said that they were not willing to play together as a team.
Crazyguy also added that this is not the same team that won the Ascension last year. The other two important members, juicy and Nephh, left Bleed following their win last year, which allowed them to participate in the VCT Kickoffs this year.
This statement raises a serious question about the team dynamics of Bleed Esports. Some fans are questioning whether removing an experienced leader like Crazyguy is the right move after just two losses.
However, he holds Bleed Esports in high regard, even after his removal. He later took to X, formerly Twitter, to express his gratitude and wrote that he loves them all the same.
Ngo Anh, a.k.a. Crazyguy, was influential in Bleed’s several wins last year. Apart from the Ascension, they also won the Malaysia and Singapore legs of the Valorant Challengers, Penta Pro Series, and Sky Sports SEA Championship.
Egoist removed from Bleed Esports after just two games
Meanwhile, Egoist has chosen a different track going forward. He has announced his decision to focus on his education instead. ‘Esports is not worth pursuing anymore,’ he wrote in Twitter post, which reflected his decision to move away from the competitive scene.
That suggests we may have witnessed the end of Egoist’s involvement in competitive gaming for the time being. However, his fans will likely hold out hope for his eventual return in the future.
Bleed Esports has now brought in experienced campaigners Zest and Retla to fill the vacant positions. Zest was previously involved with DRX and Vision Strikes. His unbeaten run to the 2021 finals is well-known in the Valorant community, and he will now start a new journey in competitive gaming.
