According to reports, Musalli Al-Muammar, chairman of the club’s board of directors, has officially handed out his resignation from the presidency of the club to the Ministry of Sports.
Al-Mumammar was the successor of Safwan Al-Suwaiket as the president of Al Nassr. He took charge of the club in April 2021, and has played a vital role in the club’s signing of five times Ballon d’Or Winner, Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite having the Portuguese talisman, along with other star players such as Anderson Talisca and Luiz Gustavo on the team, Al-Nassr were knocked out of the King Cup of Champions following a 1-0 semifinal defeat against Al-Wehda on Monday.
With only a few games remaining, the hopes of winning the Saudi League title became just as grim, after Al-Nassr lost a home game 0-2 to Al Hilal, falling 6 points behind the top-spot Al-Ittihad, who have 59 points on board.
Cristiano Ronaldo is set to leave Al-Nassr
According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo is going to move out of Saudi Arabia soon, as he gets an offer from his former club Real Madrid, albeit not as a player.

Ronaldo joined the Saudi League after falling out with Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag and getting his contract mutually terminated during the World Cup. He has performed quite well during the start of his Al-Nassr spell. However, with the club’s recent performances, he will surely be looking to move away.
The 38-year old has reportedly received an offer in an ambassador role at his former club, Real Madrid, from the club’s president Florentiono Perez. The reports state that Perez wants Ronaldo to be an ambassador of the club, as well as be a part of their sports organization chart.
