Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Saudi Arabia after his very public falling out with Manchester United. Ronaldo signed with Al-Nassr in a record $200m a year deal. Al-Nassr faced Abha in the King’s Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday evening.
Al-Nassr took the win 3-1 over Abha to book their place in the semi-finals. However, Ronaldo’s goalless drought continued as the Portuguese forward endured another frustrating night. Ronaldo was visibly frustrated during the match, struggling to make inroads into the opposition box.

What went wrong on the night for Cristiano Ronaldo?
Towards the end of the first half, he attempted to move forward from his team’s defensive area but the referee stopped play with half a minute remaining. Ronaldo showed obvious signs of annoyance with the decision and engaged in a heated argument with the referee, ultimately venting his frustration by kicking the ball away. As a result of his disobedience, the ex-Manchester United player was issued a yellow card. Teammate Anderson Talisca commented about the situation afterwards.
It was the second time the Al-Nassr forward showed his frustrations on the pitch. This occurred when Al-Nassr faced Al-Ittihad in a crunch between the first and second teams of the league. Al-Ittihad came out winners in the tie through a Romarinho goal. However, Ronaldo was walking off with his head down and almost stormed off the field. He came back and applauded the fans for their support before heading back. He kicked off a couple of water bottles and refused to let his teammates console him.

Anderson Talisca, the Brazilian attacker, was an unused substitute in the game against Abha. Talisca mocked his teammate by calling him an “angry dude”. The Brazilian did not seem too serious when making the comment.
