Dallas Cowboys K Brett Maher’s brutal night comes to light, embarrassing detail over poor performance vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Dallas Cowboys have qualified for the divisional round in the NFL despite their placekicker Brett Maher’s fumbles on Monday.

The Cowboys visited Raymond James Stadium to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the final wild card game. They clinched the victory easily after the Bucs couldn’t score any points in the first half. However, amid the uncontested triumph, a horrible mistake was almost overlooked by everyone: Brett Mahers’ kick.

What did Brett Maher do?

The 33-year-old kicker almost scored four extra points from kicks, but surprisingly, he missed all four. However, the third miss left everyone stunned, as the ball had gone straight to the sideline, missing the huge net.

The kick was placed 23 yards from the touchdown, but no one can figure out how Maher missed that one.

Fortunately, the miss did not harm the Cowboys, as the kicker converted the fifth one and finally broke the jinx.

The professional didn’t get to settle in with any team as he had to move frequently. In 54 NFL games, he made 94 field goals on 116 attempts and scored 128 extra points, missed only six-(four of which were in the last game.)

The Cowboys eventually won the game with a 31-14 score, which landed them against the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round on Sunday night. You can share your prediction with us.

  1. Everyone is human and regardless of the situation, things go sideways. I am a Washington fan but I don’t think he wanted to miss, like Brady didn’t want to lose or linemen didn’t want to let his quarterback get sacked 4 or 5 times. He will get a lot more chances to prove himself. Maybe kick the winning extra point or game winning field goal in over time.Don’t give up on him yet. Good luck Cowboys.( That statement hurt)
