Starting with the announcement of UFC 298, scheduled for February 17 in Anaheim, California, White revealed Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa are set to face each other. The middleweight contenders were initially slated to fight at UFC 284, but the matchup was called off due to a contract dispute involving Costa.

Furthermore, a welterweight bout between Ian Garry and Geoff Neal was officially announced for the occasion. The fact that Amir Albazi and former UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno will square off in a flyweight match on February 24 in Mexico City only heightens the anticipation. Yair Rodriguez and Brian Ortega, two fierce featherweight contenders, will square off in a rematch at the event as well.
White stressed that the featherweight fight will function as a five-round co-main event, even though the Moreno vs. Albazi match is the main event. On March 31, 2024, at Boardwalk Hall, White announced a women’s flyweight matchup between top-ranked contenders Erin Blanchfield and Manon Fiorot at UFC Fight Night, Atlantic City.
Ahead of the historic UFC 300 event on April 13, White hinted at exciting contests, such as a light-heavyweight bout between Aleksandar Rakić and former 205-pound champion Jiri Prochazka. In addition, undefeated middleweight prospect Bo Nickal will take on Cody Brundage, while former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will make his featherweight debut against Calvin Kattar.
