Dana White’s remarks about TJ Dillashaw is deemed by Aljamain Sterling to be “extremely weird” as “you’re applauding a guy who got busted”

Current UFC Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling has a stellar 21-win record in 24 total MMA bouts. The current CFFC Bantamweight Champion won and retained the belt by defeating Petr Yan in his last clash. Next, the funk master will face T.J.Dillashaw in Abu Dhabi on October 23, 2022, in the co-main event of UFC 280.

T.J. Dillashaw, the former champion at bantamweight in the UFC, has fought 21 times, winning 17 times and losing only four times. This American fighter fought in the UFC in two weight divisions but could only manage to win the bantamweight title.

In contrast, Dillashaw failed a drug test and was immediately stripped of his championship and suspended for two years by the association. But now that the dust has settled, the former champion is returning to the ring.

In a recent media interaction, recalling those incidents, UFC president Dana White stated that Lieutenant Dan had maturely handled the issue. Speaking about Sterling’s accusation against Dillashaw, the Irish-American businessman also considers that the former bantamweight champion is the most drug-tested fighter in the company.

“First of all, the guy (T.J. Dillashaw) is probably, and I don’t know this for a fact, but I would assume he’s one of the most tested guys in the company right now. USADA is probably all over him. But I think he made a mistake, and he handled it like a man. I’ll tell you what: We’ve had a lot of guys in the history of this company who have been busted for steroids and handled it the exact opposite way. They handled it not like men. Dillashaw did. He took it on the chin. You’ve got to respect him for that.”

But the current champion didn’t keep quiet; he spoke up and referred to the statement as a weird one and strongly criticized the UFC president as Dana was praising the bantamweight title challenger. With all this going on, Sterling didn’t forget to show his respect for Dana White.

“Very strange, man. Dana’s an interesting cat. I like Dana a lot, but some of the things I just have to wonder his reasoning and rationale. Like, you’re praising a guy who got caught and saying he did it the right way and did it like a man. What about that was manly? The guy got caught. He didn’t come clean, Dana. I’m just
I don’t get it. I think it’s a very odd thing to say.”
