David Beckham drops major hint on Manchester United takeover race: ‘I know the right people’

David Beckham is making headlines nowadays with his new Netflix documentary series that reveals the inside story of his professional career and personal life, which sparked a controversy regarding Beckham engaging in an illegitimate relationship with his former PA.

Beckham is one of the most beloved Manchester United players, even though it’s been two decades since he was playing in the United shirt at Old Trafford. Following the recent thrilling win over Brentford on Saturday, he had his say on the club’s situation.

David Beckham’s former club, Manchester United, was trailing 1-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday; however, their Scottish midfielder, Scott McTominay, scored an injury-time brace to secure all three points for the Red Devils.

McTominay revealed post-match that it was the David Beckham documentary that inspired him for his performance. He said: “I can’t describe how I felt about the second goal. I was watching David Beckham’s documentary last night and you see the history and the people behind the club, it’s so important we all come together and do it for the people. I’m a fan myself, so I want to do well.”

Eric Ten Hag’s side is currently going through a tough phase amid all the off-field problems with Jadon Sancho and Ten Hag, Antony’s allegation, and the team’s poor form, in addition to the change in ownership demands by the fans 

Seemingly, fans are unhappy with the Glazers family’s ownership and the manager; a win has given some reasons to celebrate. David Beckham was at the Qatar Grand Prix when he was asked about the win and Ten Hag’s situation 

Beckham responded by saying that Ten Hag is a good coach, it’s a difficult time for the club, fans, and players, and stability is needed in the decision-making process. He said,” I believe I know the right people to take Manchester United back to the top.” hinting an ownership takeover is required at the moment to get the club back at the top 

Beckham earns $153 million from Qatar deal

Prior to the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar, David Beckham signed a deal with the Qatari state to serve as an ambassador and promote the tourism and culture of the Middle Eastern country. It is reported that he will be receiving a sum of $15 million a year for three years, with the option to extend it further.

He was spotted promoting the World Cup tournament last year. In addition to this deal, Beckham is involved in various other business ventures and high-end brand deals. Moreover, he holds ownership of the MLS club Inter Miami.
