Basketball players are making headlines in other sports, including golf. Several days after Giannis Antetokounmpo and his brothers announced their investment in a golf team, an Instagram post in a boardroom setting reveals Stephen Curry’s involvement in the TGL golf league.
Stephen has joined the likes of LeBron, who already holds shares in significant companies like Fenway Sports, to be part of TGL. Beyond their NBA careers, Giannis, Curry, and James are gradually establishing themselves in other sports.
LeBron James reacts to Browns’ win over Bengals
The Los Angeles Lakers star, a devoted Cleveland Browns fan, was genuinely impressed by the Browns’ come-from-behind victory on Sunday afternoon. The Browns secured a thrilling 37-34 victory over the Bengals, with Baker Mayfield’s deep touchdown pass to Donovan Peoples-Jones.
LeBron James and other fans are thrilled with the Browns’ remarkable season. It’s the most successful season for the franchise since it was restarted in 1999,” James tweeted after the match, “WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Helluva pass and catch! #Browns.”

A revitalized Mayfield led the Browns in this back-and-forth contest between the AFC North rivals. Just last week, in a 38-7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he threw two interceptions and was sacked four times, he was benched.
However, in Week 7 against the Bengals, he ended an outstanding streak of 21 straight passes by tossing five touchdown passes. The Browns’ performance has put them back on course for a potential postseason berth.
Notably, Donovan Peoples-Jones’ touchdown reception marked the first of his football career. He was selected in the sixth round of this year’s NFL draft.
The Bengals, however, failed to prevent Peoples-Jones from making critical downfield catches because the Browns already boasted top-tier talent in their receiving corps, including Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry.
James’ sporting empire including baseball, soccer, NASCAR, golf
LeBron James is not only the highest-paid athlete in the NBA, but he is also an intelligent investor who has made millions through real estate investments, ownership in the sports organization that owns the Boston Red Sox, and endorsement deals.
According to Forbes, James reportedly owns an $80 million real estate portfolio in addition to over $500 million in cash and other investments. In 2021, James and his business partner, Carter, exchanged their ownership interests in Liverpool F.C. of the English Premier League for shares in Fenway Sports Group, a multinational sports, marketing, and real estate organization.
James owns roughly a 1% stake in FSG, which is worth $90 million. Fenway Sports Group owns valuable properties, including the Boston Red Sox, Liverpool Football Club, Fenway Park, a 50% interest in NASCAR’s Roush Fenway Racing, and an 80% investment in the New England Sports Network, among others.
