While the New York Jets are still trying to fix their quarterback situation, Aaron Rodgers has hinted at making a comeback. The quarterback has undergone innovative medical procedures and reportedly, he can make a comeback in mid-January.
Rodgers made a surprise appearance at a recent Jets game, which gave new hope to the fans. However, there is one former NFL player who doesn’t want to see the QB back on the team.
Rodgers urged to stay off sidelines during rehab
After suffering a season-ending injury, Aaron Rodgers is all focused on his recovery. He has recently undergone surgery to accelerate the rehabilitation process. During this surgery, a speed bridge was placed on the quarterback’s left Achilles.
This process is known to help a player recover within 3 or 4 months. Therefore, a new hope has ignited that Rodgers will be back next season.
But the former NFL player, Willie Colon, has urged Rodgers to stay away from the team. Colon appeared on The Carton Show, where he shared that he doesn’t want to see the quarterback even near the facility.

Colon emphasized that Rodgers should focus on his health only. He should take this time to rest rather than attend games and put more pressure on his leg.
However, Aaron Rodgers is a very valuable asset to the Jets, his insights and valuable information can help the team at various points during the games.

Colon’s comments came after the four-time NFL MVP attended the Jets vs. Chiefs game. The quarterback made a surprise appearance on the field. It was his first appearance in the field after suffering from the injury.
The quarterback was on crutches and was spotted talking to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Jets posted a video on X in which Mahomes and Rodgers can be seen together on the field.
The QB hasn’t fully recovered, but he still came to support his team. His presence must have boosted the confidence of his teammates. However, the Jets still lost against the Chiefs.
Aaron Rodgers is recovering fast and he might come back next season but for this season the quarterback situation on the team is still not good. They have still not signed a new quarterback and are relying on Zach Wilson.
