Days after Vini Jr.’s $42,000,000 renewal, teammate Rodrygo follows in the Brazilian starlet’s footsteps

Real Madrid is undoubtedly one of the greatest and strongest clubs the world has ever seen. The Los Blancos have a squad that can triumph over anyone. Madrid has just signed a contract extension with Brazilian international Rodrygo to keep their team strong and victorious.

The 22-year-old winger has turned out to be a great asset to Carlo Ancelotti, and the Italian manager was more than happy to offer them a contract extension that will keep the player associated with the club for a long time.

Rodrygo renews Real Madrid contract

Rodrygo first came to Madrid in the summer of 2019. The Brazilian left his former club, Santos FC, a team Neymar Jr. also used to play for. The Los Blancos saw the potential in the youngster and agreed to buy him for a fee of €45 million. Since his arrival at the club, Rodrygo has certainly given them their money’s worth. He played a major role in Real Madrid’s 2021–22 UEFA Champions League victory and has also proven himself on several other occasions.

Madrid has now signed a new deal with Rodrygo that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2028. The Brazilian does have a release clause worth €1 billion in his contract. This new contract seems very beneficial, but it also gives the club immense control over the player’s future.

Vini Jr. also extended his contract days prior

Another one of Real Madrid’s star players, Vinicius Junior, also renewed his contract with Los Blancos. The winger first arrived at the club from Flamengo in the summer of 2018. Vini soon became a fan favorite due to his flashy skills and amazing gameplay. His abilities helped Real Madrid reach great heights, and he was also given the legendary number 7 jersey for his performance.

The winger also signed a contract extension with the Spanish club that will keep him with them till the summer of 2027. The new deal also comes with an immense salary hike. According to reports, Vinicius Junior would now earn up to €9 million per year as compared to the €3 million he was earning. Similar to Rodrygo’s contract, the release clause in Vini’s contract is also valued at €1 billion, so it will be hard for the club to steal him away.

Rodrygo and Vincius Junior’s new contracts are surely very beneficial, and it is clear to see that the two are very happy in Madrid and would like to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
