The NFL superstars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce paired up to play against the NBA superstars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in the eighth edition of “The Match” charity golf event. The money earned from the initiative would be used for the “No Kid Hungry” campaign, aiming to put an end to childhood hunger in the United States.
The footballer duo stole victory from the basketball duo, albeit Mahomes hopes to possess the Golden State Warriors Curry’s golf prowess following the latter’s phenomenal performance at the American Century Championship golf tournament.

Stephen showcased incredible athleticism on the first day of the Championship tournament on the shores of Lake Tahoe at Edgewood by earning a four-point lead on his way into the weekend after sinking a hole-in-one on a par-3, 152-yard hole.
The four-time NBA champion earned 27 points in the opening round to grab the top position, with the Dallas Stars Joe Pavelski in the second spot, the Anaheim Ducks Alex Killorn in the third position, and Fox News host Bret Baier in the fourth spot. The 35-year-old star expressed excitement following the victory saying, “Probably one of the better rounds I’ve played ever, considering it was in the tournament.”
Nevertheless, Curry’s incredible golf prowess didn’t go unnoticed by the Chiefs’ two-time MVP Mahomes. He took to Twitter to heap praise on the NBA veteran by retweeting NBC Sports clips with the caption, “I wish i was as cool as @StephenCurry30”, tagging him.

Mahomes’ “Quarterback” docuseries bringing ecstatic reviews
The TV series ‘Quarterback’ featuring Mahomes, the Minnesota Vikings Kirk Cousins, and the Atlanta Falcons Marcus Mariota provided fans with the opportunity to have a glance at the behind-the-scenes stories of a professional football player’s life instead of just focusing totally on a Sunday or Monday night football match.
The Chiefs QB would be clearly the main hero of the series following his recent Super Bowl victory, albeit Cousins’ and Mariota’s personal struggles on and off the field also drew the attention of the viewers.
Decider said the production company made a great move by not featuring only the best QBs in the league.
“The series’ smartest decision is not automatically going for three top stars; while Mahomes is widely considered to be the league’s best quarterback, Cousins is a mid-tier established starter, and Mariota is struggling to hold on to a starting job in his first year in Atlanta.”
The Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe raved about Pat after enjoying the premier of the series.

However, many others think Mahomes was overshadowed by the two other QBs. Bleacher Nation reported the Vikings’ Kirk stole the limelight from the Chiefs star.
“Ironically, it was Cousins, the most mild-mannered and “boring” quarterback in the NFL who stole the show in Netflix’s Quarterback docuseries.”
