Jalen Hurts, the young quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, holds a significant weight for the Eagles with his stellar performances and records as a starter. Besides receiving prominent attention, the quarterback has also earned heavy concerns from NFL fans and the community regarding his injury.
Jalen’s run against the Miami Dolphins appeared to be unsettling amongst fans, as he did not look like his normal self while making the run with the ball.
Is Jalen Hurts injured?
On Sunday’s match between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Miami Dolphins, Jalen Hurts showed signs of pain while making a run in the second quarter. Fans were curious as they asked, “Jalen Hurts looks so hesitant when he runs the ball. What’s going on?”
The way he was running, one could hardly tell whether the quarterback was injured or if he just happened to be nervous. The incident led to the rise of various speculations, like a fan saying, “Jalen Hurts did not look…..healthy at all on that last run? Running with a clear hitch?”
Some thought something about his lower body was unsettling as they said, “Hurts did look like something was going on with his lower body. A lot of high throws could also be a sign of that because he is not driving the ball.”
It is evident that the notice took a swirl and created a lot of confusion among fans, as another wrote, “Hurts did not look good on that run. Something is definitely up,” or “Is it just me, or Hurts did not look right when running for that first down?”
Later on, in an interview, the Eagles’ quarterback answered everyone’s concerns ensuring he is just fine.
Hurts validated that he used a brace on his knee during the game. And when questioned whether the braces will alter his performances in the upcoming games or not, Jalen said, “I hope not.”
Jalen Hurts’ performance vs Dolphins
This week’s performance of Jalen seems to be a rebound from the loss the Eagles had taken on week 6. Even though, the quarterback, Jalen Hurts was noticed with a limp while running during the game, he still kept up his reputation in NFL by delivering a standout performance. Hurts accomplished 23 of 31 pass attempts for 279 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception contributing to the Eagles taking a lead in the game causing a 31-17 win. He also acquired 21 rushing yards and an additional touchdown.
After the satisfactory win, Hurts said, “I feel fine. I’m happy in how we responded, especially coming off last week,” Hurts said following the win. It was a great opportunity. A great team out there. Got a lot of respect for them as a team, and you know, I think we played really good complementary football. Had some negative plays, obviously with the fumble, but I mean, you can’t have that. I must be living bad with the other one, the tipped ball. I was just happy with how we played together, happy with how we persevered. We found ways to respond.”
