There was a remote chance that Canelo Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol would engage in a rematch and finally put an end to their feud. However, Bivol recently affirmed there is absolutely no chance he will ever fight Saul again and his next opponent will most likely be Artur Beterbiev.
Boxing fans have been looking forward to a rematch between the two generational superstars ever since Saul was defeated by the WBA light heavyweight champion Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs) last year. However, it appears that Bivol is most likely to schedule an undisputed light heavyweight title fight against the IBF, WBC, and WBO champion Artur Beterbiev.
‼️ Dmitry Bivol has now declared that the Canelo Alvarez rematch is NOT happening in September and insisted he is focused on an undisputed light-heavyweight world title fight vs Artur Beterbiev. [@MikeCoppinger]

Dmitry Bivol vs Canelo Alvarez head-to-head
Canelo Alvarez was defeated by Dmitry Bivol on May 7, 2022, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, in the United States. The Russian boxing superstar preserved his perfect undefeated record by winning the 12-round bout by unanimous decision (115-113, 115-113, 115-113).
On the other hand, Alvarez’s winning streak came to an end as Bivol completely dominated him. Initially, Dmitry expressed interest in confronting Saul once again this summer while Alvarez refrained from pursuing a rematch straight away.

According to the terms of the deal, Saul could have asked for a rematch after losing to Bivol, but the Mexican boxer decided not to. There seems to be no prospect for the rematch to happen any time soon given what Dimitry most recently stated.
Is Dmitry Bivol vs Artur Beterbiev bout scheduled?
Even though the two Russian boxers had a date set for their fight this summer, it now appears that it may not happen because of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Most recently, Bivol faced Gilberto Ramirez in November of last year. His winning run now stands at 21 matches after defeating the Mexican boxer by a unanimous decision.
At Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, Mexico, on May 6, Alvarez faced John Ryder in his most recent fight. With scores of 120-107, 118-109, and 118-109, Saul prevailed.
