Following the Brooklyn Nets’ third consecutive loss to the Boston Celtics in their playoff series, many fans have slammed Kevin Durant for his dormant performances and have asked him to stop comparing KD to LeBron.
Many people regard Kevin Durant as the greatest scorer in the NBA. But his recent performances against the Boston Celtics have been far from those claims. Durant seems like a shadow of his former self. He has scored an average of just 22 points in these three games.
Much of Durant’s ineffectiveness during these games is down to how the Celtics players are manhandling him physically. Durant himself acknowledged the Celtics and their effective tactics to minimize his effect on the game. It will be interesting to see what adjustments KD makes to his game in order to keep progression hopes alive for the Nets.
Meanwhile, LeBron James, who is often referred to as “King James” is not present in the play-offs. Even though he is not playing, James has been very active on social media. He has let everyone know that he is following the playoffs with utmost enthusiasm.
People have often compared KD to LeBron. It’s safe to say that LeBron fans have never taken these comparisons lightly. James, who often goes by the moniker LBJ, is an 8-time NBA All-Star, and 4-time winner of the MVP award. He has also won the NBA Championship 4 times.
In comparison, KD has won the championship twice, and has one MVP award, but has been an All-Star 12 times. While the comparisons seem somewhat inevitable, James has a much higher reverence than KD. Many LBJ fans have highlighted how KD and co have been unable to win a game against the Celtics so far, whereas LeBron took down the Celtics 4-3 all on his own.
Ima say this as nice as possible.
DONT EVER COMPARE KD TO LEBRON EVER AGAIN!!!!! pic.twitter.com/PFV2rzqiMi

Comparing between players is the right of fans. But rather than chipping down on achievements, we should focus on the entertainment these guys give us.
