Amongst the renowned names, Canadian Hip Hop star Drake has selected the side he is going with in this rematch.
Champagnepapi backed Adesanya once again and subsequently, he bet a tremendous amount of money on this fight. Drake has put $400,000 at stake on Israel Adesanya defeating Alex Periera via knockout. Moreover, he put an additional $500,000 on The Last Stylebender to win this fight against Pereira.

Not only has he staked nearly one million on Israel Adesanya but Drake has also put a total of $500,000 on Jorge Masvidal to defeat Gilbert Burns. For the co-main event matchup, Champagnepapi bet $200,000 on Gamebred to win by KO/TKO and $300,000 on Masvidal to beat Burns.
It is needless to say that Drake went all in and took a huge risk by betting on fighters who are coming off a loss in their last fight. Jorge Masvidal is currently going through a rough phase as he has suffered three successive losses.
Is UFC 287 the first time Drake has bet money?
UFC 287 is not the first time Drake has put big bucks on the line. With Adesanya being one name, Drake has staked a lot of money on numerous occasions. The global hip-hop superstar also bet on Israel Adesanya defeating Pereira ahead of their first matchup which took place at UFC 281.
For this UFC 281 middleweight title clash between two arch-rivals, Champagnepapi placed a bet of CA$2 million on The Last Stylebender. However, Drake lost all the money bet on Adesanya after he suffered a tough TKO loss in the fifth round. Despite suffering a huge loss in the previous Adesanya vs Pereira fight, Drake has stuck with the former middleweight champion.
Following his post regarding the UFC 287 bets on Instagram, many fans accused Drake of cursing Adesanya and Masvidal. However, that’s not the case as the infamous Drake curse was broken by Stylebender himself after his win over Jared Cannonier.
