The GOAT debate is common in every sport, and the NBA is no different. A few superstars have built careers that make them worthy of being part of that conversation.
Warriors’ Stephen Curry is one of the top contenders. Recently, his teammate, Draymond Green, shared his honest thoughts about whether Curry should stay on the GOAT list.
Recently, the NBA’s GOAT debate has mostly been about two superstars: Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Fans of both players argue about who deserves to be at the top.
While there’s no doubt that Jordan and LeBron have earned their place among the greatest, Shaquille O’Neal believes that Stephen Curry deserves to be included in that legendary list too.
On a recent episode of “The Draymond Green Show,” Draymond Green agreed with Shaq, saying, “He 100 percent is in that conversation, and he 1,000 percent belongs in that conversation… There’s no one in the history of the NBA who has been schemed against and guarded the way Steph Curry is.”
Green went on to explain how teams’ defense focuses so much on stopping Curry that it often leaves him open. The 35-year-old added, “He’s running on the wing and they’d rather go run and take the three away from him on the wing and give me a dunk.”
Stephen Curry sends love for Green’s birthday
Stephen Curry and Draymond Green share a bond that’s much deeper than just friendship. They’re more like brothers, more like family. And when you love someone like family, you don’t need grand gestures to show it.

So, when Draymond turned 35, Curry knew just how to wish him. He took to Instagram Stories and wrote a simple, heartfelt three-word message: “35 of ’em.” It was short, but it spoke volumes—just the kind of message you’d expect from Steph Curry.
