Drew McIntyre Admits His Current Trajectory ‘Sucks’ Ahead of WM41

Currently everyone in the company is fighting for a spot at WrestleMania 41, where some are highly struggling to get the main event, which is true now. Former champion Drew McIntyre is also one of them as he awkwardly loses the match in the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber.

In both events, he got smashed by Damian Priest, which nobody expected, and it is true that people are missing his feud with the member of the Bloodline. Maybe he also feels the same way. So he is not seeing any positive spots for him in WrestleMania 41.

In an interview with Adam’s Apple, McIntyre talked about feeling stuck and not having much creative direction for WrestleMania. He admitted that he needs to make things happen if he wants a chance at the title.

“Since I’m not in a world title match at WrestleMania, I know that in 2024, people were talking about me and CM Punk more than anyone—and I did 90% of that work. Good for Punk for being Punk, but Drew McIntyre was doing the f******* heavy lifting there.”

Earlier reports were saying 2025 would be a big year for him because of his success last year, but now that possibility seems unlikely, and he’s frustrated about it. However, he promised he would figure out a way to make things work.

Drew McIntyre promises to offer fans a compelling storyline

Drew McIntyre isn’t happy about not having a big storyline for WrestleMania 41. He admits it makes him mad, but he plans to do something special to make up for it. He wants to give fans an exciting story on the biggest stage of the year so that they become invested.

He said, “So yeah, I’m pissed off about not being in the world title match. But I’m going to make something happen. Between now and WrestleMania, I’ll make sure there’s a big match, a compelling story people are invested in, and I’ll make sure the match is f*******—because I’m Drew McIntyre.”
