The Philadelphia Eagles have successfully brought back their top cornerback James Bradberry to a 3-year, $38 million contract, making him one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the league.
Fans had been speculating about the potential loss of the Eagles as a number of its defensive players were seen signing with other teams as free agents over the past few days. However, the Eagles were successful in re-signing their star cornerback, which may provide them the push they need to once again become a danger in the NFC East.
James Bradberry is back to the Eagles.
ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter took to Twitter to reveal that the Philadelphia Eagles are on the way to finalizing their veteran Corner James Bradberry a 3-year, $38 million contract, with $6 million in incentives and $20 million fully guaranteed, making him the 16th highest paid corner in the NFL with the APY of $12.7.

Bradberry, 29, joined the New York Giants as a free agent. Though the star CB became one of the Giants’ strong defenders by intercepting a team-high three passes, the team cut him for cap reasons later.
The second-team All-Pro cornerback signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles last year and recorded 44 tackles, 1 touchdown, 3 interceptions, and 17 passes defended, proving him a key part of the team’s defense.
Earlier, Bradberry disclosed that he had the desire to join a team with a quality roster while stating that he would not like to “play for cheap,” which was a hint that he was going to push for more than the initial $7.5 million contract.
The star cornerback spoke candidly to the Philadelphia Inquirer about his return to the Eagles, saying that after finishing the past season, he is excited to play for the team again and is committed to helping them win the Super Bowl.
Bradberry continued saying he was eager to join the team who would pay a substantial amount to him and where he would be much more comfortable.
Besides Brady’s bowl prowess and the poise for the win, he is notoriously renowned for the controversial holding penalty when he holds on the wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster on third down.

The eagles failed to keep Javon Hargrave, Marcus Epps, T.J. Edwards, and Kyzir White in this season, which may fall heavily in the team, while Darius Slay’s future also seems uncertain. So, bringing Bradberry back on the team was a much-needed move for the Giants.
With Bradberry in the fold, the team’s defense looks poised to make significant strides next season, and Eagles fans are eagerly anticipating the start of the 2023 NFL season.
